On a wintry November 18, 1940, twenty Montana men and women gathered together, intent on creating new financial opportunities for residents of Great Falls and the surrounding areas. This group formed Great Falls Cooperators Credit Union. Over the years, this tiny credit union saw their membership grow, consolidated with other credit unions in our community, and has become what we now know as Montana Credit Union. With just over 22,000 members, Montana Credit Union is the largest credit union in the Great Falls area, and the fourth largest in the state of Montana.
